Parent Taught Drivers Education Texas – The New Standard
The number one. And it’s not because teens aren’t capable of being good drivers, it’s because they aren’t being taught how to be good drivers; they are never given a chance. Imagine if you were told that you would have to operate a wrecking ball on your first day at work without any training. Would you feel confident getting into the driver seat? Would you feel confident you would be able to knock down that building without collateral damage? I wouldn’t think so.
The same thing is true for teenagers leaving their traditional drivers ed programs. These teens are simply not prepared to drive on the roads. These teenagers are being put in a dangerous situation; someone is telling them they are ready to drive when they are clearly not. The problem is not with the teachers or the students, it’s a problem with the curriculum and structure of the courses.
These courses are designed around a very tight timeline. Teens using these programs are forced into moving on and learning too much information in a much to short period of time. The result is that they are barely prepared to get their license. These courses are designed for one thing and one thing only, to help teens get their licenses. They are designed to help teens pass the writing and road tests and not much else.
It is just not the fault of the teens or the teachers, it’s the system that allows this to happen. It’s the minimum requirements the state has put forth for these programs; they simply aren’t enough. When it comes to drivers education texas programs that are parent or home taught, they are designed to work at a pace that both the parent and teen are comfortable with. They are given time to learn the laws, operation of the vehicle, and the basics before they start to move on to the skills involved in becoming a safe driver.
Teens using these at home drivers education courses are learning how to become safer drivers because they are learning how to spot dangerous situations and learn how to avoid them. These teens are being trained to avoid collision before they have a chance to happen. They are not limited by their age or skills, they are learning to master the skills needed before they even hit the road; in others words, they are much more prepared to handle the challenges of driving.
Driving is a dangerous thing. It’s not easy. It’s something most of us do every single day so we don’t think about the challenges and the danger involved. In fact, most of us just seem to zone out behind the wheel and not pay much attention – which is exactly why collisions occur. Learning how to drive is a very important thing for any teenager, but learning to drive safely will require a lot more work and training than what is being offered in the schools. if you are in the process of looking for a texas drivers ed program for you and your family you should consider looking into the home or parent taught methods; they are quickly replacing the outdated and dangerous traditional programs of the past.
